Base pay range

$175,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

CFS has partnered with a global manufacturing company based out of Portsmouth, NH to identify an Assistant Controller to join their team.

Highlights Of The Assistant Controller Opportunity

• The Company: Global publicly traded manufacturing company with over $1B in revenue specializing in advanced materials and composites manufacturing. They serve aerospace, paper manufacturing, and industrial processing.
• The Growth: Founded over 100 years ago, our client is the industry leader in their niche. Their Revenue and Adjusted EBITDA have increased year-over-year for the past 3 years.
• The Position: Lead a corporate accounting and financial reporting team that will be responsible for directing accounting policy, corporate accounting, technical accounting, and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting activities
  
  

The Assistant Controller’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage external reporting efforts to the SEC, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
• Direct the corporate accounting and financial reporting team.
• Drive process improvement in the accounting close and reporting processes.
• Liaise with the tax department for accounting for income taxes.
• Drive application of both new and existing accounting standards.
• Central point of contact with external and internal auditors for integrated and operational audits.
• Subject matter expert on interpretation and implementation of all current, new and evolving U.S. GAAP accounting issues.
• Assist management in other corporate areas such as investor relations, treasury, acquisition due diligence and purchase accounting.
• Develop and mentor staff.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years combined accounting experience in a global company and a public accounting firm.
• Experience leading the preparation of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Experience working with a global SAP ERP system.
• Experience working for global publicly traded companies.
  
  

This position requires relocation to Portsmouth, NH. This role is offering a base salary of up to $250,000 + additional incentives.
