Responsibilities
- Assist with the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls.
- Support revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and complex billing structures.
- Maintain the GL and oversee account reconciliations.
- Partner with CFO on audit prep, tax filings, and board/investor reporting.
- Assist in scaling accounting operations as ARR grows — potentially including billing, collections, and reporting automation.
- Evaluate and improve systems for scale and efficiency, specifically integrations between the incumbent ERP system, Sage Intacct, and other tech stack components like HubSpot and ClickUp.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience with Sage Intacct highly preferred; other ERP systems acceptable (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks Online Advanced).
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP; revenue recognition expertise is a plus.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and hands-on.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
