Job summary

Headfarmer is seeking a hands-on Assistant Controller in the Central Phoenix area to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. You will partner with the Controller to ensure accurate reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support growth.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, NetSuite preference, advanced Excel skills, and CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• NetSuite experience highly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
