We are working with one of our clients, seeking an assistant controller to join the team. This person will be assist in managing the daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, General Ledger maintenance, monthly financial close, ensuring GAAP compliance, and support budget forecasting. This role supports the Controller in financial planning, budgeting, and internal control implementation.

Key responsibilities include:

Accounting Operations:

• Oversees daily accounting activities, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.

Month-End Close:

• Ensures timely and accurate closing of the financial books and records.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Overseeing agency-specific billing (e.g., media spend, production costs), ensuring accurate, timely client invoicing, and reviewing project profitability.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

• Establishing and maintaining internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and managing audits.

Compliance & Audits:

• Maintains compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control policies; assists with internal and external audits.

Supervision & Operations:

• Mentoring and managing accounting staff, managing cash flow, and resolving account discrepancies.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Assisting with the annual budget process and conducting variance analysis of actuals versus projected expenses.

Technology & Process Improvement:

• Utilizes accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) to maintain records and identifies areas to improve efficiency.
