Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Assistant Corporate Controller in Ohio to lead corporate accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls under the guidance of the Corporate Controller.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; Master's preferred.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Manufacturing or industrial accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting audits and financial compliance.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Lean, or Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of corporate accounting operations.
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
  • Assist with preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support compliance with banking covenants, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
  • Assist with treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting and banking relationships.
  • Manage insurance administration and annual renewals.
  • Support ERP enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with accounting and reporting activities related to joint venture operations.
  • Coordinate intercompany reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Partner with finance, operations, and business leaders to improve reporting accuracy.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
