Assistant Controller

Bring your skills and experience to work closely with business unit accounting personnel, site controllers, and Program Finance personnel to ensure all business unit data is consolidated into the monthly close. This role involves managing priorities, driving process improvements, ensuring accuracy, and working collaboratively in a matrix management environment. The Assistant Controller will report directly to the Bell Controller and is responsible for the timely completion of the financial close process, reporting to our corporate parent, and managing collections and disbursements for a $4 billion+ business unit with global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Bell Controller to resolve organizational questions and develop executive presentations.
• Evaluate technical accounting issues and draft position papers.
• Oversee internal controls over financial reporting and liaise with auditors.
• Drive changes and process improvements within SAP and general ledger processes.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering an engaging environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams.
