Job summary

Walrath Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations, monthly and year-end close, and financial reporting. This full-time, permanent role partners with executives to guide budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.

You will supervise finance staff, manage grants and restricted funds, ensure compliance, and coordinate audits and regulatory filings. Strong GAAP knowledge for nonprofits and excellent communication are essential; in-office schedule is M-F 8am–5pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting or financial management experience.
• Strong Controller-level experience in general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of nonprofit accounting, grants, restricted funds, and cost allocation.
• Experience supervising staff and preparing for audits.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm
