Our client in Burleson, Texas, has an immediate need for an Assistant Controller on a direct hire basis.

Assistant Controller Role:

The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in managing the organization's financial operations. Responsibilities include handling accounting functions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

• Financial Statements: Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Forecasting: Lead budgeting and forecasting, conduct variance analyses, and provide financial insights.
• Audits: Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely documentation submission.
• SOX Control Environment: Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls to uphold reporting integrity.
• ERP System Ownership: Define requirements, oversee implementation, train users, and evaluate performance.
• Profitability & Growth: Provide strategic insights, identify cost efficiencies, and revenue opportunities.
• Key Performance Indicators: Track, analyze, and report KPIs to assess performance.
• Leadership: Mentor the accounting team and support professional growth.

Assistant Controller Background Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Over 5 years of progressive experience, including at least 2 years in manufacturing
• Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls; SOX experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills and experience with financial data interpretation
• Proficient in Excel and data analytics tools
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Familiarity with Sage, Oracle HFM, or Epicor systems is advantageous
