Job summary

Invoke Staffing is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support day-to-day operations on charter school and educational facilities projects in the Columbia/Camden area, with a fast-track path to Lead Superintendent.

The role covers site operations, trade management, safety enforcement, field administration and inspections, with a clear timeline to assume full superintendent duties and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–3+ years in commercial construction (Field Engineer, Foreman, or Assistant Superintendent).
• Strong blueprint reading skills (Architectural, Structural, MEP).
• OSHA 10/30 certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Site Operations: Assist with day-to-day job site management, quality control, and schedule execution.
• Trade Management: Coordinate subcontractors, inspect daily work, and keep trades on schedule.
• Safety First: Enforce OSHA standards, conduct site talks, and keep job sites secure and clean.
• Field Admin: Keep daily logs, track material deliveries, process RFIs, and document site progress.
• Inspections: Help walk municipal building, MEP, and fire inspections.

We’re looking for a sharp, driven Assistant Superintendent to work directly alongside our Lead Superintendents with a clear, accelerated path to running your own job sites quickly.

What You’ll Do

• Site Operations: Assist with day-to-day job site management, quality control, and schedule execution.
• Trade Management: Coordinate subcontractors, inspect daily work, and keep trades on schedule.
• Safety First: Enforce OSHA standards, conduct site talks, and keep job sites secure and clean.

What We’re Looking For

• Certifications: OSHA 10/30 (or ability to obtain).
• Location: Must live in or near the Columbia/Camden SC area. Valid driver’s license required.
• Mindset: Reliable self-starter with great communication skills and a desire to lead projects independently.
