Job summary

Martin Horn Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our construction team in the United States. The role supports Project Managers managing multi-million-dollar projects and coordinates subcontractors, procurement, and on-site activities.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years in a similar role, a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, and proficiency with CMiC and Excel. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or commensurate experience.
  • Minimum 2 years as a Construction Assistant Project Manager or similar on commercial projects.
  • Experience with SCO/CO, RFIs, Submittals, CPM and standard construction processes.
  • Proficient in CMiC and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Support one or more Project Managers on multi-million-dollar projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and on-site activities.
  • Handle procurement needs, review invoices and change orders with PM.
  • Assist with project scoping, proposals, RFIs.
  • Maintain customer relationships and manage expectations.
  • Collaborate with managers, owners, field leadership, vendors, and tradespeople.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Support one or more Project Managers who generally bill $10 Million a year, whether that is one large project or a few smaller projects.
  • Assists Project Manager and/or Superintendent with coordinating subcontractors and jobsite coordination
  • Coordinates any procurement needs, invoice reviews and change orders alongside PM
  • Assists with scoping the project, submitting proposals, RFI's
  • Manage customer relationships, perceptions, and expectations.
  • Work professionally with a variety of people including managers, owners, project managers, field leadership, vendors, and tradespeople.
  • Work independently and with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
  • Has a general understanding of construction process, including SCO, CO, Contracts, RFI's, Submittals, CPM)
  • Willingness to work hard, learn a lot, collaborate with a team, and have fun.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker and attentive to details.
  • Tech-savvy, ablility to learn new software or experience in construction software (CMiC), proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field or commensurate experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Construction Assistant Project Manager or in a relevant role on commercial construction projects.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary based on experience starting at $70,000 + bonus.
