Job summary

Psomas is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager for busy water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the San Francisco Bay Area, with multi-year assignments in Sunnyvale and/or Union City. You will act as an owner's representative on complex systems, coordinating with agencies, engineers, and contractors.

You will support construction oversight, documentation, schedule and budget tracking, and field problem solving, while working on-site daily in a collaborative, career-growth focused

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Active California PE license or CCM, or EIT with licensure within two years.
• 5+ years in CM, resident engineering, owner's representative on public works.
• Experience with water/wastewater, pipelines, treatment facilities.
• Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation to access project sites.
• Ability to work on-site in active construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction oversight and owner representation on large-scale projects.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay apps, and project docs.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, risks, progress; resolve conflicts.
• Coordinate with public agencies, contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Participate in field meetings, evaluate conditions, help resolve issues.
