Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Denver seeks an Assistant Construction Manager to support Aviation and Federal design-build projects. You will aid the Construction Manager in safety, quality, schedule, and cost control, coordinating with subcontractors and managing project documentation.

The role emphasizes interface with clients, risk review development, and adherence to project plans. Compensation reflects market ranges and discretionary bonus eligibility in a dynamic, employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 years relevant construction experience required.
• Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and manage Health & Safety performance of project team and contractors.
• Collaborate with Project Management to build client relationships and interface on proposals and projects.
• Assist in developing risk reviews with Project Management and consult with Legal as required.
• Develop and implement Project Execution Plan, Quality Assurance Plan and other project plans.
• Contribute to negotiations and management of prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Develop project plan for site mobilization and demobilization and support site management.
