Job summary

Zellis Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to serve as the operational right hand to the Community Manager, handling leasing support, resident relations, and daily property operations to deliver hospitality-grade service.

You will take ownership of rent collection, lease file audits in Yardi, and lead in the manager’s absence while gaining exposure to budgeting, reporting, vendor coordination, and team leadership as you grow into an onsite leadership role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years property management experience.
• Experience in leasing, resident relations, or administrative support preferred.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager or comparable property management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Community Manager with daily property operations.
• Assist Leasing Consultants with tours, applications, move-ins, and occupied unit showings.
• Manage rent collection, track delinquency, and coordinate the move-out process including communications, key collection, and final account reconciliation.
• Address resident concerns, resolve conflicts, and provide professional guidance that reflects hospitality excellence.
• Audit lease files and ensure documents are uploaded in Yardi.
• Collaborate with service team to monitor and resolve maintenance requests promptly.
• Confirm marketing and website accuracy across listing platforms.
• Assist with creation and revision of policies and procedures related to leasing and resident relations.
• Maintain office organization and prepare the team for daily operations.
• Provide input during staff meetings, contributing ideas and process improvements.
• Support leasing, resident satisfaction, and retention initiatives aligned with goals.
