Job Summary

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in daily operations, acts as the Community Manager in their absence, and handles leasing, marketing, and resident relations, including financial record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing advertising materials and showing units.
• Screen applicants and maintain rental records.
• Develop creative leasing and marketing strategies.
• Communicate courteously with residents and prospects.
• Qualify prospects, process applications, and secure deposits.
• Update reports, monitor renewals, and process lease paperwork.
• Handle rent payments, notices, and collections.
• Maintain resident files and assist with legal proceedings.
• Operate accounting software and ensure invoice accuracy.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up on repairs.
• Enforce community policies and contribute to curb appeal.

Requirements

• Fair Housing Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work weekends.
• Experience in apartment management preferred.
• Professional appearance and behavior.

Education & Physical Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years college preferred.
• Ability to sit, stand, climb, and lift up to 30 lbs.
