JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This role supports and assists the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the community. Responsibilities include completing accounting and bookkeeping tasks, preparing monthly financial reports, processing invoices, collecting rent and other payments, bank deposits, account reconciliations, and using property management software to record, track, and report financial activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Complete daily financial transactions such as collecting and posting payments, preparing bank deposits, and reconciling accounts.
  2. Operate property management software (Yardi/OneSite), ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity.
  3. Review resident files and accounting records to identify unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
  4. Review and submit vendor invoices, reconcile work or purchases, obtain approvals, and manage communication between vendors, accounting, and owners.
  5. Follow established procedures for evictions, including notices, court representations, and legal compliance.
  6. Process resident move-outs, applying deposits and fees according to lease terms and legal requirements.
  7. Respond promptly to resident complaints and requests to promote satisfaction and retention.
  8. Act as on-site supervisor in the absence of the Community Manager, delegating tasks and coordinating maintenance activities.
  9. Assist in managing relationships with owners by providing updates, community tours, and responding to requests.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
  • Work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
  • Push, pull, lift, and maneuver weights up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Travel may be required to other properties, training, or meetings.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
