Job summary

CRM Rental Management, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Community Manager for Mariner Towers Apartments in Buffalo, NY. The role assists the Community Manager in creating a welcoming, well-managed living environment and promotes the property to prospective tenants.

Key duties include processing move-ins/outs, renewals, and maintaining accurate files while ensuring compliance with HUD and other housing regulations. Strong organization and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in affordable housing (HUD, LIHTC, RD required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
• Strong leasing, financial, and bookkeeping skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Positive, confident demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HUD, DHCR, HFA, Fair Housing, ADA, OSHA, and all laws related to multifamily housing.
• Process move-ins, move-outs, and security deposit documentation using property management software.
• Maintain organized resident and property files, including verifications, lease renewals, and collections.
• Assist with lease renewals, prepare necessary documentation, and coordinate interim and annual recertifications.
