Job summary

CRM Rental Management, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Community Manager for Mariner Towers Apartments in Buffalo, NY. The role supports the Community Manager in creating a welcoming environment and promoting the property to prospective tenants.

The position requires 1–3 years of experience in affordable housing, proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software, and strong leasing, financial, and organizational skills. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in affordable housing (HUD, LIHTC, RD required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
• Strong leasing, financial, and bookkeeping skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Positive, confident demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HUD, DHCR, HFA, Fair Housing, ADA, OSHA, and all applicable laws for multifamily housing.
• Process move-ins, move-outs, and security deposits using property management software.
• Maintain organized resident and property files, including verifications, lease renewals, and collections.
• Assist with lease renewals, prepare necessary documentation, and coordinate interim and annual recertifications.
