Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Waypoint Management Services in Davenport, FL is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to keep daily operations moving and protect revenue. You’ll work with the community manager, handle delinquency tracking, support eviction processes, ensure on-time rent collection, and monitor make-ready schedules.
On the leasing side, you’ll support the leasing team's performance and training, help execute marketing strategies, and stay current on competitors' pricing and concessions.
The assistant community manager role exists at the intersection of operations and resident experience. You're the person who keeps things moving when the community manager is pulled elsewhere, and the one who spots financial or leasing problems before they compound. At a multifamily property in Davenport, Waypoint Management Services is filling that seat now.
You'll work alongside the community manager on daily operations, but you'll own a real slice of the workload independently. That means tracking delinquency, supporting the eviction process when it gets there, and making sure rent collection doesn't slip. You'll monitor the make-ready schedule, keep the rent roll accurate, and flag renewal risk early enough to act on it.
On the leasing side, you'll support the leasing team's performance and training, help execute marketing strategies, and stay current on what competitors are doing with pricing and concessions. When occupancy trends shift, you're expected to bring data and a recommendation, not just a problem.
Weekend availability is required. This is a community-facing role, and the schedule reflects that.
The candidates who stand out at this level already understand that leasing numbers and financial performance are connected. If you've worked renewals strategy or helped a team hit occupancy goals during a slow season, that experience carries weight in this interview.
Waypoint offers a compensation package that includes monthly leasing and renewal bonuses, an employee housing discount, medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on day one, 120 hours of PTO in year one, a 401k with company match, and commuter and referral benefits.
