Job Overview:

As the Assistant Manager of our apartment complex, you will work closely with the property manager to oversee all aspects of property management, with a strong emphasis on accountability and legendary customer service. You will assist in managing day-to-day operations, resident relations, leasing activities, and maintenance coordination to ensure the highest level of satisfaction for our residents.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accountability:
    • Assist the property manager in maintaining accurate records of leasing transactions, rent payments, and maintenance requests.
    • Ensure compliance with leasing policies, procedures, and regulations, and address any issues promptly and effectively.
    • Support the property manager in developing and implementing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
  2. Legendary Customer Service:
    • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, prospective tenants, and vendors, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assist in organizing resident events and activities to foster a sense of community and enhance resident satisfaction.
    • Conduct regular follow-ups with residents to ensure their needs are met and issues are resolved to their satisfaction.
  3. Leasing and Marketing:
    • Assist with leasing activities, including responding to inquiries, conducting property tours, and processing lease applications.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants and maintain high occupancy rates.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor properties, and local demographics to inform leasing and marketing efforts.
  4. Administrative Support:
    • Assist with administrative tasks such as lease preparation, lease renewals, move-in/move-out procedures, and resident correspondence.
    • Manage resident files and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare reports and analyze data related to leasing, occupancy, and financial performance to support decision-making.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure prompt and efficient resolution of maintenance issues and timely completion of work orders.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a strong sense of accountability among staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management, preferably in multifamily housing.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with residents, team members, and vendors.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in property management software (Yardi) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
