Job summary

The Michaels Organization is seeking an Assistant Community Director to support the Community Director in overseeing day-to-day operations for the community, residents, and staff. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service and professional handling of duties as assigned by the Community Director.

You will assist in budget preparation, reporting, and payroll tasks, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years in a customer service related industry, preferably multi-family property management.
  • Military experience or prior exposure to the military is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass background investigation and drug test screening.

Responsibilities

  • Train, direct and oversee all office staff under the Community Director to ensure orderly workflow.
  • Handle resident issues, complaints, requests or concerns and resolve them promptly.
  • Assist in preparation of the Annual Budget and periodic reports.
  • Prepare and review timesheets with payroll staff for accuracy.
  • Lead Quarterly Resident Meetings and provide updates to residents.
  • Assist in rent collection and monitoring delinquent accounts.
  • Coordinate make-ready maintenance with Turn Supervisor to align with applicant flow.
  • Draft correspondence to residents and representatives for Community Director approval.
  • Implement community policies and conduct health and safety inspections as needed.
  • Support marketing strategies to attract prospective residents.
