Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to oversee testing and commissioning for HV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and PV projects on-site in the Midwest. You will collaborate with the Commissioning Manager and subject-matter experts to ensure all systems are installed, tested, and commissioned safely and in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.

This full-time role requires travel, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and delivering

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry safety protocols and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team with guidance, training, and support.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on status of assigned projects.
• Develop and maintain commissioning plans and procedures.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure alignment with cross-functional teams (engineering, construction, QA).
• Develop integrated testing and commissioning schedules and update weekly.
• Oversee pre-commissioning, cold, warm, and hot commissioning tests for BESS, HV, or PV systems.
