Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to plan, execute, and oversee testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects on a full-time basis.

You will coordinate with the Commissioning Manager and technical experts to ensure safe, compliant, and fully operable renewable energy assets. Based at a jobsite in the Midwest with travel, you will lead commissioning teams, develop schedules and plans, and report progress daily while advancing safety and quality throughout

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project commissioning team and provide guidance and support.
• Report daily status to the Commissioning Manager.
• Develop project milestones, commissioning plans, and procedures.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on testing activities.
• Manage pre-commissioning through hot commissioning tests for BESS, HV, PV.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards.
• Prepare daily commissioning reports and track lessons learned.
