Job summary

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is seeking an Assistant Colorist to support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead in delivering a seamless guest experience. You’ll learn services, assist with color consultations, and grow toward becoming a Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months.

Compensation at this location ranges from $28 to $30 per hour, combining base pay, commissions and tips. Availability at peak times is required, with opportunities for advancement and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level customer service or retail experience preferred in beauty/salon.
• Excellent communication and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling and blowouts.
• Support Licensed Colorists and Shift Lead to deliver guest experience.
• Help drive sales through retail products, memberships and services.
• Keep the Hair Color Bar clean, organized and compliant with standards.
• Learn color theory and backstage techniques to grow toward licensed colorist.
