Madison Reed in Huntington Beach is seeking an Assistant Colorist to support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead, delivering a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure while you learn the services and progress toward your next role.

You’ll master consultations, color theory, shampooing, conditioning, blowouts, and product applications, with training to become a Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months. The role can be full- or part-time and requires availability at peak times.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; salon/beauty industry preferred.
• Strong communication and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon setting.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to deliver guest experiences aligned with company values.
• Assist in finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, and color-related services per guest request.
• Help achieve monthly sales goals through retail, services, and memberships.
