Job summary

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar in Texas is seeking an Assistant Colorist in training toward Licensed Colorist. You support licensed colorists, deliver guest experience, assist with consultations, shampooing, conditioning, blowouts, and color services while learning.

This role offers base hourly pay, commissions and tips. Potential earnings range from $21.50 - $23.50 per hour. Training for promotion in 3–9 months; flexible full- or part-time schedules; reports to the Manager.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state in which you are applying.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail sales; salon or beauty industry experience preferred.
• Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and develop teamwork skills to provide a guest experience aligned with our values.
• Perform behind-the-chair services such as assisting in finishing services and shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, and toner services.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and KPIs, including retail sales, services, memberships.
• Ensure Hair Color Bar meets company standards for cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
• Drive Hair Color Bar revenue through increasing average service ticket with additional services, memberships, subscriptions, home care.
• Receive training to grow your career within Madison Reed.
• Colorist to Colorist Training including mastering color theory and behind-the-chair fundamentals.
