Job summary

Taymax Group, LP operates Planet Fitness franchises across North America and is expanding its clubs, including in Texas. This Assistant Manager role supportsClub Manager in delivering a high-quality, welcoming guest experience in a fast-paced fitness environment.

You will help recruit and train staff, supervise front desk operations, oversee payroll, and ensure safety and cleanliness of the club while driving member satisfaction and club performance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma/GED equivalent.
• One year of customer service experience preferably in a gym or retail environment.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite) and the ability to learn systems quickly.
• Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills.
• Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic with a passion for health and fitness.
• Strong customer service and problem resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests and ensure superior service.
• Provide backup support to Club Manager and supervise staff scheduling.
• Oversee front desk activities, greet members, answer phones and assist with member signups.
• Assist in payroll processing and keep weekly/monthly/annual statistics.
• Support safety, cleanliness and maintenance of the club.
• Manage marketing communications and ensure staff awareness of promotions.
• Make daily bank deposits as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
