Assistant Clinical Director (Registered Nurse)

Position Overview

Great new career opportunity in Hospice. Now Hiring for the Assistant Clinical Director (Registered Nurse) position in Peabody, MA.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5pm.

The Assistant Clinical Director is responsible for leading and managing regional staff, including the interdisciplinary teams (IDT), reporting to the Clinical Director. The role involves implementing, delivering, coordinating, and supervising all hospice services in accordance with Ascend Hospices' policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:

  1. Leading and participating in regular IDT meetings.
  2. Reviewing and updating patient/family care plans.
  3. Participating in clinical management to address service delivery issues, staff development, and policy improvements.
  4. Ensuring accurate, complete, and compliant medical records, and overseeing audits.
  5. Monitoring clinical data, care plan completion, and documentation standards.
  6. Conducting supervisory visits and providing staff development and counseling.
  7. Maintaining community relationships and providing education.
  8. Arranging team coverage for on-call and staff time off.
  9. Providing leadership to enhance staff development.
  10. Meeting budget and growth targets, including census, admissions, and referral goals.
  11. Engaging with community education and regional development activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • State Certified RN license.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional nursing experience, hospice experience preferred.
  • CHPN certification is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
