Job summary

U-Haul is looking for an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily center operations in the General Manager’s absence. You will lead a team, make rapid resource decisions, and ensure customers receive top-notch service and care.

This role emphasizes hands-on training, continuous education through U-Haul University, and opportunities for advancement within a supportive, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Leadership experience in any form.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
