Job summary

New Hope Ministries in Hanover seeks a caring, professional individual to assist the Center Manager with daily operations. This is a full-time, hourly position focused on screening for aid, casework, and outreach, with leadership responsibilities and Spanish/English language assets.

The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have a calling to serve in a faith-based community setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Center Manager in daily operations of the Hanover office.

• Manage dedicated volunteers and handle community outreach duties.
• Demonstrate leadership, social work skills, and a desire to help neighbors in times of need.

Description

New Hope Ministries, is seeking a caring and professional individual to assist the Center Manager in the daily operations at our Hanover assistance office. This is a full-time, hourly position. Duties include screening low income individuals and families for food, housing, and utility assistance as well as casework and educational instruction to promote self-sufficiency, management of dedicated volunteers, and community outreach duties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, social work and interpersonal skills, will possess at least a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, and have a desire to share the love of Christ by helping our neighbors in times of need. Language proficiency in Spanish as well as English would be a great asset.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Shall be a Christian who agrees with the Statement of Faith, as found in the by-laws of New Hope Ministries.
• Shall have at least a Baccalaureate degree in the social sciences or its equivalent in formal education and career experience.
• Shall demonstrate good human service and interpersonal skills.
• Shall possess good managerial and leadership skills.
• Possess a driver's license and clean driving record.
• Obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR Training.
• Must obtain and maintain child abuse clearances.
• Must obtain and maintain mandated reporter child abuse training and serve as a mandated reporter.
