Job summary

• Associate/BA in Early Childhood Education strongly preferred.
• Must meet Maryland requirements for a child care center leadership position.
• Knowledge of MSDE Accreditation is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Maryland OCC/COMAR regulations.
• Minimum 2–3 years of early childhood education experience.
• Leadership, supervisory, or administrative experience preferred.
• Experience with The Creative Curriculum and Maryland EXCELS is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to coach, train, and provide accountability to teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the Center Director with daily center operations and leadership.
• Help maintain MSDE Accreditation standards and documentation.
• Conduct classroom walkthroughs and monitor program quality.
• Support teachers with curriculum implementation, classroom environments, and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Assist with staff training, onboarding, coaching, and professional development.
• Monitor licensing compliance, classroom ratios, health and safety practices, and required documentation.
• Assist with staff scheduling and classroom coverage.
• Build positive relationships and communicate professionally with families.
• Support family events, conferences, tours, and other center activities.
• Help ensure Tree of Life maintains a safe, organized, professional, and high-quality learning environment.
