Job summary

LLE Education Group-4 is seeking an Assistant Director to lead day-to-day operations at our childcare center in Virginia. You will empower teachers, build relationships with families, and uphold quality as defined by licensing and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication, leadership and organizational skills.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating classroom activities.
• Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child Care Staff completion is preferred.
• Background check and VA licensing standards are required.
• At least one year in a supervisory role and two years as a classroom teacher or childcare provider.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Center Director with daily operations of education and care programs.
• Demonstrate leadership and communication with parents, teachers and staff to uphold quality standards.
• Oversee scheduling, enrollment, billing, marketing and public relations to support a financially successful center.
• Support ongoing staff training and onboarding and ensure compliance with licensing standards.

What You Bring…

• Early childhood professional credentials such as a CDA, CCP or AAS in ECE; bachelor’s degree Preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work as part of a team
• Excellent verbal, written and listening skills and the ability to communicate to a wide-ranging audience including those with varied educational levels and backgrounds
• Ten or more hours of management training
• At least one year of experience in a supervisory role
• At least two years of experience as a classroom teacher or childcare provider
• Successful completion of the Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child Care Staff
• Successful background check and VA licensing standards required

Compensation…

• The hourly rate for this position is between $18.00- $20.00 per hour.
• The pay range listed is what we in good faith anticipate offering for this job position.
• Actual compensation within this range will be determined by several factors, including a candidate’s experience, education and training, certifications, geographic location and other relevant organization and business factors.

What You’ll Do…

• Assist the Center Director with the day-to-day operations of the education and care programs
• Demonstrate leadership and communication skills in dealing with parents, teachers, cooks, bus drivers, cleaning contractors and maintenance personnel to promote a climate of quality as measured by corporate policies, state licensing and national accreditation standards
• Handle the administrative process and procedures of the childcare center and work with the Center Director to maintain training, scheduling, orientation of new staff, student enrollment, billing and tuition collection, marketing and public relations, parent relations, oversight of the bookkeeping for the center to ensure a financially successful business operation
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
