O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Category Manager to assist Category Managers in maximizing profitability across product lines. You will perform product line analysis, support promotional planning, and coordinate with stores and multiple departments to ensure flawless merchandising execution.

The role emphasizes negotiating with suppliers, analyzing reports, and contributing to category-level strategies for profitable growth.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration required.

Responsibilities

• Perform product line analysis (unit sales trends, gross margin, GP% trend) and present recommendations to the Product Manager and Director.
• Assist Category Managers with promotional planning and execution.
• Communicate with stores and other departments to ensure flawless merchandising project execution (price changes, program changes, VFR updates, training reviews, etc.).
• Work closely with Purchasing, Accounting, Store Operations, DC Operations, Sales, Marketing/Advertising, Inventory Control, and Pricing.
• Make strategic business plan recommendations using internal reports, supplier negotiations, and industry publications.
