Job summary

Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, MS, is seeking an Assistant Bookstore Manager to oversee daily operations of the Oxford and Southaven campus bookstores and to develop e-commerce initiatives. This full-time, 12-month role reports to the Director of Union Services and Administration and may require evening and weekend hours to support events.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master’s preferred, and bring extensive retail management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• Master's degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Ten (10) or more years of progressively responsible retail management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the Oxford and Southaven campus bookstores.
• Oversee merchandise receiving, inventory management, and financial reporting activities.
• Develop and maintain merchandise pricing in accordance with bookstore policies and retail best practices.
• Supervise, train, and provide leadership to Bookstore Clerks.
• Support and attend events at the Heindl Center for Performing Arts; travel between campuses.
