West State Street in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Business Office Manager to help oversee census, billing, accounts receivable, and Medicaid applications in a nursing center setting. The role supports business excellence goals and requires collaboration with administrators, staff, and external partners.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• Two years of long term care billing and collection experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement of nursing center business excellence goals as an Assistant Business Office Manager, handling census, billing, accounts receivable, and Medicaid applications.
• Report to the Business Office Manager and receive training from Revenue Cycle Manager.
• Interact with Administrator, nursing center staff, leadership, Centralized Billing Office, families, attorneys and external agencies.
• Manage patient/resident trust funds and confidential files in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Meet with patients/residents at admission and discharge to explain financial obligations.

Responsibilities

Support the achievement of nursing center business excellence goals as an Assistant Business Office Manager where you will complete or assist in the oversight of census, billing, accounts receivable, tracking of Medicaid applications and other accounts receivable functions.

• Report to the Business Office Manager but also receive training and support from the Revenue Cycle Manager.
• Visible position that interacts with the Administrator, nursing center staff, leadership, Centralized Billing Office, families, attorneys and external agencies.
• Manage patient/resident trust funds and confidential files in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Meet with patients/residents upon admission and discharge to explain financial obligations.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of two years' experience in long term care billing and collection experience is preferred. *Additional coursework in accounting/finance is recommended.

Posted Salary Range

USD $21.63 - USD $21.63 /Hr.
