Morgan State University is seeking an Assistant Bursar for Cash Management to oversee payment collection, deposits, and record maintenance for student receipts. The role emphasizes ensuring accurate deposits, maintaining banking relationships, and supervising a small team.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree in business/Accounting or related field, plus five years in fund collection and disbursement, with three years of supervisory experience and familiarity with an online financial system.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, E-Commerce or related field.
• At least five years of experience dealing with the collection and disbursement of funds.
• At least three years supervising a staff of at least two full-time employees.
• One year of experience working with an online, integrated financial computer system.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and update online cash collecting portals and payment portals.
• Coordinate cash receipt and payment processes to maximize cash flow and timely deposits.
• Maintain banking relationships with the State of Maryland and perform reconciliations.
• Reconcile Bursar’s Office records with Accounting Office to ensure agreement of billing and receipts.
• Supervise the cash management operation and develop cash management policies and procedures.
• Manage payment/collections, deposits, and record maintenance of general university funds.
