About The Role

As a CBRE Assistant Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building system operations, including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services team, supporting preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You'll Do
  1. Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems, ensuring compliance with standards.
  2. Follow all relevant codes, regulations, and safety directives.
  3. Maintain an energy management program to ensure system efficiency.
  4. Assist with preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and perform emergency repairs.
  5. Handle hazardous materials safely and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
  6. Inspect building systems like fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation and environmental compliance.
  7. Apply technical knowledge to complex tasks and provide innovative solutions.
  8. Mentor team members and share knowledge within the team.
  9. Lead by example, demonstrating CBRE's values and building consensus.
  10. Impact customer, operational, and project activities within your team and beyond.
  11. Work within broad guidelines and policies.
What You'll Need
  1. High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of relevant experience; certifications like Universal CFC preferred.
  2. Physical ability to perform tasks involving stooping, standing, walking, climbing, and lifting over 50 lbs.
  3. Judgment skills based on analyzing multiple information sources.
  4. Willingness to consider new perspectives on solutions.
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
  7. Math skills to handle complex calculations.
