Our retail brands include Marzetti, New York Bakery, and Sister Schubert’s, along with exclusive license agreements for Olive Garden dressings, Chick-fil-A sauces, and Buffalo Wild Wings sauces. Our foodservice business supplies many top restaurant chains in the United States.

The Assistant Brand Manager provides day-to-day marketing support and business analysis to ensure brand management activities are implemented in a timely and cost-effective manner. This individual is responsible for assisting in delivering specified business targets (volume, profit, market share) through the development and execution of brand strategies and plans.

Responsibilities
Brand Management
  • Assist in developing and implementing short- and long-term marketing objectives and strategies. Participate in the development and lead the execution of brand plans and tactics to meet brand, business, and financial goals.
  • Support the Brand Manager or Director in forecasting for assigned business.
  • Prepare brand briefs and presentations, including business plans and sales meetings. Collaborate with agency partners as necessary.
  • Monitor business and brand health performance using internal and external data resources to identify issues and opportunities to drive brand development and volume performance.
  • Evaluate data such as IRI data and PowerBI to develop a comprehensive understanding of business and market influencers.
  • Prepare monthly consumption and shipment reports.
  • Conduct additional analyses as needed (competitive analysis, panel data analysis, distribution gap analysis, etc.).
  • Assist in developing consumer promotional programs and manage their execution.
  • Work closely with Sales, Strategies, and Insights teams on responses to sales requests regarding products, promotions, and research.
  • Coordinate with agency partners to execute promotional plans, including shopper marketing programs.
Planning and P&L Management
  • Assist in developing annual strategic business plans, targets, and initiatives.
  • Support the achievement of net sales and gross margin targets by delivering against the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Measure and analyze the results of consumer programs throughout the year.
  • Lead monthly forecasts for assigned brands in collaboration with Sales Planning & Demand Planning teams.
  • Analyze market data to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives for assigned brands.
  • Support development of merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving strategies in partnership with Sales Strategy and Insights teams.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • IRI/Nielsen experience highly preferred.
  • Prior CPG experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, including business, budget, and financial analysis, with the ability to develop recommendations and tell a story with data.
  • Experience with business performance analysis and reporting, specifically IRI Retail Data and/or PowerBI preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
