The Natural Bridge Branch of the St. Louis County Library is seeking a full-time Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in operations and maintenance, and to assume duties in their absence, ensuring quality library service to all customers.

The incumbent will help oversee branch programs, staff scheduling, and public service activities, contributing to an engaging, well-run community library experience.

Formación

• Master’s Degree in Library Science required.
• Ability to supervise, train and motivate staff.
• Commitment to high level of public service to library customers.
• Good judgment, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to work effectively with other Library managers.

Responsabilidades

• Schedules staff and monitors attendance to ensure adequate staffing.
• Oversees branch operations, building and grounds maintenance to keep the branch clean, safe, and attractive.
• Supervises and participates in public service activities including circulation and reference services.
• Participates in program planning and implementation to meet customer needs and attract new customers.
• Participates in hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplining staff to ensure high quality service.
• Assists in development and maintenance of the branch collection to meet community needs.
