General Parts Group is seeking a hands-on Assistant Branch Manager to lead daily branch operations, support field technicians, and deliver excellent customer service.

This role reports to the Branch Manager and focuses on dispatch coordination, technician development, and maintaining a positive, high-performing branch culture in Tucson. Ideal candidates have technical/mechanical experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience with technical or mechanical fields is preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to assess technician skills and service needs.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Support and coach field service technicians with technical needs.
• Own and coordinate dispatch, matching technicians to calls.

• Assist with scheduling, training, onboarding, and development.
• Answer calls, greet walk-ins, and handle escalated issues.
• Assist with branch admin duties, service docs, parts coordination, billing support.
• Help with shipping, receiving, inventory, and technician truck stock.
• Support daily operations and cover for Branch Manager when needed.

Join Our Team as an Assistant Branch Manager at General Parts!

General Parts is seeking a hands-on Assistant Branch Manager to help lead daily branch operations, support field technicians, and deliver excellent customer service

Pay: $60,000-$63,000 annually, based on experience

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Branch Manager works closely with the Branch Manager and serves as a hands-on service leader within the branch. This role will support technicians, coordinate dispatch, assist customers, and help with day-to-day branch operations.

The ideal candidate has technical or mechanical experience, strong leadership skills, and enjoys working directly with technicians and customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Support and coach field service technicians with technical and day-to-day service needs.

• Own and coordinate dispatch, matching the right technician to each service call based on skill set, location, and customer needs.

• Help build a positive, accountable, team-focused branch culture.

• Assist with technician scheduling, training, onboarding, and development.

• Answer customer calls, greet walk-in customers, and handle escalated service issues.

• Assist with branch administrative duties, service documentation, parts coordination, and billing support.

• Help with shipping, receiving, inventory, and technician truck stock.

• Support the Branch Manager with daily operations and fill in as needed during absences.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical, mechanical, field service, or commercial equipment experience preferred.

• Previous leadership, supervisory, or service management experience.

• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to understand technician skill sets and service needs.

• Organized, dependable, hands-on, and able to manage multiple priorities.

• Driving record that aligns with our safety standards.

• Completion of successful background check and drug screen.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
