Job summary

ECS Group of Companies, based in Austin, TX, seeks a Senior Geotechnical Manager to lead and grow our geotechnical and CMT teams. The role blends technical leadership with client development and project oversight.

The ideal candidate holds a PE, an ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, and 10–15 years of experience, with a proven record mentoring staff and delivering high-quality geotechnical reports. You will coordinate across CMT and geotechnical projects, contribute to marketing efforts,

Qualifications

• Requires BS or MS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10–15 years of technical and managerial experience in geotechnical/CMT.

Responsibilities

• Act as a team builder and mentor for CMT/geotechnical staff.
• Develop staff and market ECS services to expand market presence.
• Manage and mentor CMT/geotechnical engineering staff.
• Collaborate with CMT and geotechnical staff and projects.
• Senior level review and preparation of geotechnical reports.
• Engage in client and business development and assist staff in marketing services.
• Demonstrate an affinity for marketing and business development.

• Developing staff and getting our name out in the marketplace
• Managing and mentoring of CMT/geotechnical engineering staff
• Working with both construction materials testing (CMT) and geotechnical staff and projects
• Senior level review and preparation of geotechnical reports
• Client and business development, as well as assisting other staff in marketing our services
• An affinity for marketing and business development
• BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering - other similar engineering degrees considered if program is ABET accredited
• 10-15 years of technical and managerial experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
