Job summary

ECS Southwest, LLP in Austin, TX, seeks a senior geotechnical leader to build and mentor a growing team while delivering high-quality reports.

You will develop staff, market services, oversee CMT and geotechnical projects, review reports, and drive client relationships. This role blends technical leadership with business development in a dynamic, employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited program preferred).
• 10–15 years of technical and managerial experience in geotechnical/CE fields.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the geotechnical/ CMT team and mentor staff.
• Conduct senior reviews and preparation of geotechnical reports.
• Drive client/ business development and market ECS services.
• Collaborate with CMT and geotechnical staff on projects and marketing of services.

Position & Office Overview

• Being a team builder with the ability to both bring in and do the work
• Developing staff and getting our name out in the marketplace
• Managing and mentoring of CMT/geotechnical engineering staff
• Working with both construction materials testing (CMT) and geotechnical staff and projects
• Senior level review and preparation of geotechnical reports
• Client and business development, as well as assisting other staff in marketing our services
• An affinity for marketing and business development

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering - other similar engineering degrees considered if program is ABET accredited
• 10-15 years of technical and managerial experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
