Golden Nugget Lake Charles is a luxury casino-resort that opened in December 2014. The property features nearly 1,100 well-appointed hotel rooms and suites with private balconies, an eighteen-hole championship golf course, a private beach and marina, and a luxurious pool complex with private cabanas, waterslides, and a lazy river. Responsibilities

Summary:

Under the supervision of the Banquet Manager, oversees banquet operations, interacts with clients, discusses needs, negotiates contracts, and coordinates with culinary staff to meet event requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Gaming Commission Regulations, laws, and company policies.
  • Provide courteous and professional guest service at all times.
  • Implement merchandising strategies and manage departmental labor costs.
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise banquet functions for success.
  • Lead the Banquet Department in planning, organizing, executing, and evaluating events.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Food & Beverage, and culinary teams for event execution.
  • Schedule staff to ensure high service levels while controlling costs.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and retain team members committed to excellence.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and communicate relevant updates.
  • Maintain positive public and employee relations.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Protect confidentiality of all records and information.
  • Promote responsible gaming and alcohol service, reporting concerns appropriately.
  • Report any illegal activities or ethics violations to management or via hotline.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly or indirectly supervises Banquet Supervisor, Captain, Bartender, Attendant, and Servers.
