Job Overview

As an Assistant Banquet Manager, you will oversee the setup and execution of banquet events, supervise staff, ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, and provide excellent guest service. Your responsibilities include supervising room setup, coordinating with staff, managing cash handling procedures, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service quality.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervise the setup of function rooms, including linens, silverware, china, and glassware according to event specifications.
  2. Communicate effectively with staff and guests during events to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
  3. Oversee serving staff to ensure compliance with alcohol service regulations.
  4. Ensure adherence to cash handling and accounting policies.
  5. Supervise cleanup and proper storage of event equipment.
  6. Manage billing through the point of sale system.
  7. Monitor staff attendance and reassign tasks as needed to maintain service quality.
  8. Provide clear written and verbal instructions to staff.
  9. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
