Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock, TX is seeking an Assistant Director of Sales. In this role you will support the Director of Sales by overseeing and driving the sales activity to achieve shared goals, focusing on soliciting, developing, and maintaining accounts in assigned market segments through direct sales efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hotel sales management experience, preferably at a property with over 500 guest rooms and at least 75,000 square feet of event space.
• Proven success in developing, managing, and closing group business.
• Two years of experience as a Senior Sales Manager, focused on: building and maintaining client relationships, identifying client needs, closing sales.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing strategies to drive group, event, and corporate bookings.
• Mentor sales staff, track performance, and guide team members in achieving their goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients and event planners.
• Oversee sales for conventions, weddings, retreats, and special events.
• Collaborate with operations, catering, and convention services for seamless guest experiences.
• Maintain CRM records, analyze sales data, and support budget and forecast planning.
