Responsibilities

As an Assistant Bakery Manager, you will:

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Oversee ordering, inventory control, product quality, and supervise the Bakery team
• Manage merchandise rotation and display building
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items
• Ensure excellent customer service and high-quality Bakery products
• Handle store deliveries and operate deli equipment
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ensure team compliance

Qualifications

To qualify, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with at least 2 years of retail grocery and supervisory experience
• Be dependable, reliable, and flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor and positive attitude
• Possess good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Be capable of answering phones, taking orders, and performing general housekeeping
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other equipment safely
• Stand for up to 8 hours, with ability to transfer items up to 40 lbs.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations and maintain a Food Handlers permit
