Job summary

The Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General in Boston seeks an experienced attorney to join the False Claims Division as an Assistant Attorney General. The role involves handling investigations and litigation of complex Massachusetts False Claims Act matters, coordinating with state and federal authorities, and working in a demanding enforcement environment.

Qualifications

Massachusetts bar admission eligibility required.
At least three years of complex litigation experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication and advocacy skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making.
Effective organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Significant interest in working in a public interest enforcement environment.
Experience handling fraud matters and/or the False Claims Act is strongly desired but not required.

Responsibilities

Handle investigation and litigation of complex False Claims Act matters.
Obtain documents, take testimony, interview witnesses, and draft memoranda.
Litigate pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, and trial when applicable.
Assess and litigate sealed whistleblower actions in collaboration with whistleblowers and counsel.
