Job summary

Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office is seeking an experienced attorney to join the False Claims Division in the Boston office. The Assistant Attorney General will handle investigation and litigation of complex matters under the Massachusetts False Claims Act, coordinating with state, local, and federal authorities.

The role requires strong advocacy, superb writing, and collaborative skills. The position offers a hybrid work model with in-office days in Boston or regional offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of complex litigation experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and advocacy skills.
• Self-motivated with sound judgment and decision making.
• Effective organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle investigation and litigation of complex matters involving suspected Massachusetts False Claims Act violations.
• Obtain documents and take testimony via civil investigative demands, interview witnesses, analyze evidence, draft memoranda, and negotiate settlements.
• Litigation duties include pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, and trial when applicable.
