Position Overview

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine (PACCM) at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is seeking NIH-funded scientists, physicians, and physician-scientists at the levels of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor, both tenured and non-tenured.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven track record in extramural NIH funding and mentoring junior investigators.
• MD, DO, or Ph.D. degree with research interest in Pulmonary, Allergy, Sleep, and Critical Care Medicine.
• Demonstrated teaching ability and research experience for assistant level.
• Strong scholarship, reputation, teaching effectiveness, and leadership for higher ranks.

Research Areas and Resources

Research in asthma, COPD, cystic fibrosis, sleep disorders, ILD, and ARDS/ALI. Resources available to establish a vibrant research program. Active research and fellowship training at Presbyterian University Hospital, Oakland VA Medical Center, and Shadyside Hospital.
