Position Summary
The Division of Graduate and Professional Studies at Stonehill College invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Graduate Business to support the College’s planned MBA . Business focus areas could include Management, International Business, Operations Management, Human Resources Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance, or Accounting. The successful candidate would join the College’s full-time faculty with a wide range of disciplinary expertise and a commitment to fostering diversity among faculty and students. This is an on-campus position, and a qualified candidate must teach on the physical Stonehill College campus as well as online as we expand our online offerings. There is an opportunity to serve in a leadership capacity as the Coordinator of the MBA , depending on the rank/experience of the candidate.
The 36-credit Master of Business Administration ( MBA ) will be designed to meet the demand from employers and provide students with a comprehensive masters-level business education through an innovative and rigorous curriculum coupled with practical experience through paid residencies. The program is housed within the Department of Graduate Business Administration in the Division of Graduate and Professional Studies ( GPS ), alongside a growing number of AACSB -accredited graduate programs. GPS works closely and collaboratively with the Leo J. Meehan School of Business and working across the division and school is an expectation of all faculty members. The Stonehill MBA will prepare students with a deep understanding of essential business disciplines along with the capacity to identify and implement strategic decisions to drive organizational success. Students graduate with a portfolio of work demonstrating their abilities and receive practical leadership training.
The Division of Graduate and Professional Studies provides academic leadership and oversight of the College’s graduate and professional programs. GPS offers in-person, hybrid, and fully online master’s degrees, graduate certificates, and professional development in business, education, and professional programs in science. Our academic programs are designed to empower working professionals and recent graduates to expand their employment and career opportunities through rigorous, convenient, and flexible academic offerings. Faculty in the Division of Graduate and Professional studies work within their respective graduate department as well as collaboratively with joint and undergraduate colleagues in related undergraduate departments and Schools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The faculty member will contribute to the curricular design of the MBA program, which will launch in in-person and online modalities in Summer 2025. The faculty member will also teach a variety of graduate courses within the MBA program, as well as ensure that the curriculum is relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with industry needs. Up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in business and business education is essential. In addition, as a member of GPS , the faculty will contribute to quality assurance and accreditation, assessment, community building, policy development, and liaising with external stakeholders.
As Coordinator of the MBA program, working under the Director of Graduate Business Administration and the Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies, this faculty role will have additional administrative responsibilities such as student recruitment efforts, student support and advising, faculty coordination and recruitment, and course scheduling.
Education and/or Experience
Doctoral Degree or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant business discipline. Additionally, 3-5 years of full-time experience in graduate higher education is expected. Administrative experience, such as serving as a Director or Chair, would also be helpful as this position may involve administrative responsibilities. Industry experience is preferred.

The applicant must commit to ongoing research productivity and demonstrate participation in the broader academic community in terms of journal review responsibilities, participation in academic conferences, and other academic roles. A commitment to service to the Department, School, and College is also essential. The applicant must show a strong interest in teaching and mentoring graduate students and enjoy working closely with student advisees to establish academic and professional goals.
