The Computer, Electrical, and Software Engineering Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering beginning in August 2025.
Description:
Interest and ability to teach introductory undergraduate engineering design and programming courses along with electrical engineering courses and laboratories is essential, and experience with aviation/aerospace applications is highly desirable. Professional and scholarly activities are expected for the position, but quality teaching is the primary responsibility. Additional responsibilities of the position include recruitment of students, advising and mentoring undergraduate students, course and program assessment and development, and university/community service. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communications skills, and a strong command of the English language are required.
The successful candidate should have an earned doctorate in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or a related field. Preferred areas of expertise for this position include signals and systems, modern control systems and robotics, autonomous systems, and electronic devices and circuits. Significant industry, entrepreneurial and/or teaching experience would strengthen a candidate’s credentials, but recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
